Having lived in both the rural midwest and New York, Meghann intended to visit the family's southern Oregon winery for two weeks in May 2020, but ended up falling in love with the area and making Oregon her home. Like her sister Kristina, Meghann has now worked in both family callings: education (like their mother Susan) and agriculture (like their father Ed). Meghann's favorite wine is Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough region of New Zealand.
Javan discovered his calling for connecting people with wine and the land it comes from while taking a food and wine course at Southern Oregon University. There, Javan learned the value of having an open mind, trying wines that are 'interesting,' and sampling varietals from different vineyards and different vintages. He started working at Hummingbird in 2020, was promoted to wine specialist in 2022, and became tasting room manager in 2023 after graduating from SOU with a degree in wine business.
